Why the Data Is Probably More Optimistic Than the Field Really Is
Roberta co-authored WeLearn's Learning Strategy Scorecard research, drawing on responses from 118 L&D leaders across 27 industries, about 40 percent from organizations with 5,000-plus employees and roughly half mid-size. One of her sharpest analytical points is a caution about the data itself: because people who take a voluntary maturity assessment are already thinking critically about their strategy, the sample likely skews toward more engaged, more mature organizations than the L&D field as a whole, meaning the already-sobering finding that 80 percent of organizations score "reactive" or "operational" may actually understate the real gap. She brings that same industry-analyst rigor to broader HR technology research and go-to-market strategy work at Lighthouse.
