Recognition Data as Evidence, Not Just Sentiment

Priyanka co-authored Everest Group's research with Workhuman on recognition maturity, built around a four-stage model (ad hoc, structured, integrated, and intelligent) that most organizations sit somewhere in the middle of. Her sharpest argument is that recognition data can validate succession planning decisions in ways slower-moving performance data can't: because recognition is instant and continuous, it can reveal potential and consistent contribution over a three-to-six-month window, rather than waiting for an annual review cycle to confirm what people already suspected. She also pushes organizations to speak to different executives in the language that actually moves them: engagement and retention framing for a CHRO, top-line and cost framing for a CFO, rather than a single generic pitch for recognition investment.

Topics Priyanka speaks on

  • Using recognition data to validate and accelerate succession planning
  • The four-stage recognition maturity model
  • Building an HR business case in the language each executive cares about
  • HR and talent strategy research
  • Connecting recognition programs to measurable ROI

Sessions with Achieve

Priyanka is a featured presenter on the Achieve webcast "Optimize & Scale Recognition with Human Intelligence" (January 22, 2026), presented in partnership with Workhuman alongside colleague Prachi Ahuja and Lynette Silva Heelan of Workhuman. In it, she walks through Everest Group's recognition maturity model and makes the case that recognition data can uncover succession-planning potential earlier and more reliably than traditional performance data.
