Lynette Barksdale

Lynette Barksdale is the former Head of Global Inclusion & Diversity at Visa and Google, where she spent years building diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy at two of the world's largest companies. She has spent her career closing gaps in access and opportunity across the technology and financial services sectors.

Building DEI Strategy Across Tech and Financial Services

At Google, Lynette led Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Google Cloud for more than five years, after earlier serving as Interim Head of Black Community Engagement at Google and Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Access, a division of Alphabet. She also served as Global Co-Chair of the Black Googlers Network, the company's employee resource group. She later became Global Head of Inclusion and Diversity at Visa. Earlier in her career, she held HR roles at Teach For America and Target, building the foundation for the DEI work that followed. She holds a degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University.
