Jermaine King
Dr. Jermaine King, Ed.D., is Chief Human Resource Officer for the United States Air Force, where he has spent more than 23 years leading and innovating within a large organization, holding over 53 leadership and project management certifications along the way. He also serves as a Graduate Adjunct Professor teaching business administration, entrepreneurship, and project management, and has taught at five universities.
From an Inner-City Upbringing to Building HR Systems That Scale
Jermaine's journey began in an inner city with limited opportunity; joining the Air Force, he says, transformed his life and taught him that leadership is a continuous journey of growth rather than a title you arrive at. He earned a master's degree in under a year and went on to complete a doctorate in adult learning and organizational leadership. As CHRO, he has overseen talent acquisition, streamlining hiring processes to improve efficiency and candidate experience, applied people analytics to close talent gaps and guide strategy, and built leadership development programs to elevate team performance across a large enlisted force. He was selected as a President Bush Institute Leadership Scholar, where he champions initiatives supporting military veterans, and earlier in his career launched the First Term Officers Onboarding Course for Joint Base San Antonio.
