Cori Nelson
Cori Nelson is People & Culture Partner at HiBob, where she works on the people side of the business and helps translate HR insight into clear, practical content for HR leaders. Before HiBob, she was an HR Partner at Spotify, where she supported the company's Global Advertising Business, more than 1,000 employees, across the full employee lifecycle.
Turning Stated Values Into a System That Holds Under Pressure
Cori's core argument is that a company value only matters if it survives contact with a real business decision under pressure, not just a values statement on a wall. At HiBob, she points to the operating value "Build the Exceptional" as one leaders can credibly fall back on when making hard product and performance calls. She has also worked on HiBob's "Leadership Code," a shared internal language defining what exceptional leadership looks like, activated through leadership trainings built around one or two values at a time.
