Christopher McCormick
Christopher McCormick is CEO and Founder of Visionary Consulting, where he advises executive leadership teams on HR strategy, leadership development, coaching, and change. He brings more than 20 years of experience across Fortune 100 organizations, most recently as Senior Director of Talent, Development and Inclusion at Gilead Sciences, where he defined enterprise talent, development, and inclusion capabilities and frameworks.
From the Stage to the Boardroom
Christopher's path into HR started in musical theatre: he holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Webster University, an education he credits with sharpening his read on human emotion, communication, and presence long before he entered a boardroom. He went on to hold HR and talent development roles at HP, Blue Shield of California, and Gilead Sciences, and is a credentialed facilitator with the NeuroLeadership Institute and Development Dimensions International. At Visionary Consulting, he built a format he calls "Brave Rooms," structured, unscripted conversations designed to build trust and connection between leaders and teams over a 30-day window rather than a slow culture rollout. He was named the "Most Empowering DEI Leader of the Year" for 2025 by CToday Awards.
