Liana Rodriguez, MHRM, is Senior Director of People Operations and Total Rewards at Viz.ai, an applied artificial intelligence company in healthcare. She leads people strategy, workforce planning, and compensation for the fast-scaling, AI-driven health tech company, and holds SHRM-SCP certification alongside a Master's in Human Resources Management.
Co-Building the Business Case With Finance Instead of Presenting to It
Liana built Viz.ai's global benefits philosophy around inclusivity, covering physical, emotional, and family wellbeing needs across a growing, distributed workforce, and has overseen initiatives that cut the company's leave administration workload by more than half. She has developed a framework she calls CABM (credibility, align the business problem, build the case together, make the decision easy) for winning finance buy-in on people investments, and relies on employee lifetime value, or eLTV (average revenue per employee divided by average tenure), as what she calls her "secret weapon" for translating HR asks into numbers finance already understands. Before Viz.ai, she held people operations and talent roles at Screenvision Media, 451 Research, and International Shoppes, giving her a career-long thread in both HR operations and recruiting.
Topics Liana speaks on
- The CABM framework for winning finance buy-in on people investments
- Using employee lifetime value (eLTV) to make the business case for HR spend
- Total rewards and compensation strategy for scaling companies
- Building inclusive, multi-need employee benefits programs
- People operations for fast-growing AI and health tech companies
Sessions with Achieve
Liana is a featured panelist on the Achieve webcast "Beyond 'It's Complicated': HR & Finance Alignment for the AI Era" (April 22, 2026), a Transform Spotlight Session presented in partnership with HiBob alongside Dr. Ken Matos and Brian Martell of HiBob. In it, she introduces her CABM framework in detail and makes the case that HR leaders win more often when they show up to finance with a problem statement and a hypothesis rather than a finished, polished proposal.
