Amy Latham
Amy Latham is Manager of Employee Rewards & Recognition at LPL Financial, a Fortune 300 independent broker-dealer that helps everyday investors find financial solutions. Her work focuses on the operational side of building recognition programs that support morale, engagement, and collaboration across a large financial services workforce.
Making Recognition Everyone's Job, Not Just Leadership's
Before LPL Financial, Amy managed branch network operations at Piedmont Advantage Credit Union, where she led regional branch teams, focused on improving member and associate experience, and designed and implemented a staff recognition system that measurably improved team morale and collaboration. At LPL, she has deliberately shifted the program's center of gravity away from leadership-driven, budget-holding recognition and toward everyday peer-to-peer moments, running monthly non-monetary recognition challenges and iterating on badge designs based on direct employee and manager feedback through dedicated HR boards. One recognition moment she points to often: a new hire publicly thanking a peer for making their first days feel welcoming, evidence that new employees pick up the habit of recognizing others immediately when it's modeled well.

- Running non-monetary recognition challenges that actually get used

Sessions with Achieve
Amy is a featured panelist on the Achieve webcast "Recognition That Works: Turning Global Rewards & Recognition Insights into a Living System" (February 19, 2026), presented in partnership with Vantage Circle. Moderated by John Land of Vantage Circle, the panel also included Daniel Cano (Lummus Technology) and Kaitlyn Heilweil (Edelman Financial Engines). Amy described recognition as her "love language" and walked through how she runs monthly non-monetary recognition challenges and uses employee and manager feedback boards to keep LPL's program from going stale.
