Xoxoday: Rewards, Recognition, and Payout Infrastructure

Xoxoday is a rewards, recognition, loyalty, and incentive platform serving businesses across HR, sales, marketing, and customer experience functions. The company was founded in 2012 in Bengaluru, India, by a founding team including Sumit Khandelwal, who serves as CEO, along with Manoj Agarwal, Abhishek Kumar, and Kushal Agrawal; Abhimanyu Choudhary joined later as a co-founder (Tracxn; Xoxoday "About" page, 2026). In February 2022, loyalty management company Giift, backed by Apis Partners' Growth Fund II, acquired a significant strategic interest in Xoxoday as part of a $30 million investment (Business Wire, February 2022). Xoxoday has since raised a Series C round, and Tracxn reports total funding of roughly $101 million across six rounds (Tracxn, 2026). The company is headquartered in Bengaluru with additional offices including San Francisco, Dublin, Singapore, and New Delhi (PRNewswire, 2023).

What Xoxoday does

Xoxoday's product suite includes Empuls, an AI-powered employee engagement and recognition platform with pulse surveys, perks, and a social intranet; Plum, a real-time transactional rewards platform with a global redemption marketplace; Compass, a sales commission and incentive automation tool; and Loyalife and Loopr for customer loyalty and merchant offer programs (Crunchbase, 2026). Empuls integrates with common HR, collaboration, and survey tools, and the company has partnered with Amazon Business to let employees redeem reward points directly through Amazon's marketplace (PRNewswire, October 2023). The company says it now works with more than 5,000 businesses across 150-plus countries (Xoxoday, 2026).

Where it fits

Xoxoday's client base spans fast-growing startups to Fortune 500 companies, including named clients like Freshworks, Grammarly, and H&M (Crunchbase, 2026). It's a fit for HR and people teams that want employee recognition and rewards unified with survey and engagement tools in one platform, especially organizations with a global or distributed workforce that need a rewards catalog spanning many countries and currencies.

Why this matters for people leaders

Recognition programs lose their power when redemption feels like a hassle or the reward catalog doesn't reflect what employees in different countries actually want. A platform built around real-time, flexible redemption, including everyday options like an Amazon Business integration, closes that gap between the moment of recognition and the moment an employee actually feels valued. For organizations focused on Culture, Performance, and Retention, that immediacy and relevance matters more for driving genuine engagement than the size of the reward itself.
