Transform: From an HR Conference to a Year-Round WorkTech Ecosystem

Transform is a people-driven thought leadership ecosystem connecting HR leaders, entrepreneurs, and WorkTech investors, built around an annual flagship conference and a broader community of programming throughout the year. The organization began as HR Transform, co-founded by Samara Jaffe, who served as executive director, and gained recognition as a must-attend event for people professionals and workforce technology innovators (ERE, 2022; Transform "About," 2026). The conference has continued to run annually, drawing more than 3,000 attendees to its 2023 edition at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, featuring more than 300 speakers and 100 sessions (RecruitingDaily, 2023). The organization has since rebranded from HR Transform to simply Transform, positioning itself as more than a single annual event.

What Transform does

Transform's core offering is its annual conference, but the organization has expanded into a broader "ecosystem" spanning Transform Events, Transform Awards, a Transform Global Ambassador program, and a Content Hub producing articles and video content year-round (Transform "About," 2026). The organization's stated mission spans fostering human connection, shaping people-driven leadership, inspiring WorkTech innovation, and supporting workforce health and wellbeing, delivered through both the flagship event and ongoing digital touchpoints between events, including a paid community membership (Transform Community/Transform Exec).

Where it fits

Transform serves HR leaders, people-tech entrepreneurs, and WorkTech investors, with past speakers including executives from Calendly, Greenhouse, and Gem (RecruitingDaily, 2023). It's a fit for HR and talent leaders looking for a large-scale, in-person conference to see emerging WorkTech innovation and network with peers and vendors, as well as those interested in year-round community engagement rather than a single annual touchpoint.

Why this matters for people leaders

HR technology and practice both move quickly enough that staying current largely through vendor sales conversations or scattered articles leaves real gaps, which is the space large-scale conferences like Transform are built to fill: concentrated exposure to what's actually launching and what other organizations are actually trying. For organizations focused on Culture, Performance, and Retention, an event like Transform functions less as a single learning opportunity and more as a way to compress a year's worth of scattered industry-watching into a few days of direct comparison across many vendors, practitioners, and approaches at once.
