Judi Health: Unifying Pharmacy and Medical Benefits Administration
Judi Health is a health technology company providing benefit administration to employers, unions, health plans, and government entities. The company was founded in late 2017 as Capital Rx by CEO AJ Loiacono and CTO Ryan Sorensen, initially as a transparent, pass-through pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) built to challenge the traditional PBM pricing model (PRNewswire, September 2025). Capital Rx is headquartered in New York. In September 2025, the company announced a $400 million investment, including a $252 million Series F round led by Wellington Management and General Catalyst with participation from Generation Investment Management, Goldman Sachs Alternatives' Growth Equity arm, and several other firms, and rebranded as Judi Health to reflect an expansion beyond pharmacy into full health benefits administration (PRNewswire, September 2025). In July 2026, the company completed that rebrand, renaming its PBM business Judi Rx and launching Judi Care for medical benefit administration and Judi Cloud for licensing its platform to other health plans and third-party administrators (Business Wire, July 2026).
What Judi Health does

Judi Rx continues Capital Rx's transparent, pass-through PBM model. Judi Care, built in part on the 2025 acquisition of Amino Health, handles medical, dental, and vision benefit administration.
