CultureC: Employee Listening Consulting Led by a Former Culture Amp People Scientist

CultureC is an employee listening consulting firm that helps HR and people leaders design, run, and interpret engagement surveys and turn results into real organizational change. The firm was founded by Craig Forman, who previously served as Lead People Scientist at Culture Amp and earlier worked at LinkedIn (CultureC, 2026). Forman is the author of the book "Listen Up!", a keynote speaker at SXSW, and hosts the "Culture Conversations" podcast. CultureC says the listening programs it builds consistently achieve more than 80 percent employee participation, compared to an industry average the firm cites as 50 to 60 percent (CultureC, 2026, citing the company's own client data).

What CultureC does

CultureC organizes its work around three stages: Collect (designing surveys and communications that drive genuine participation), Understand (analyzing results to identify the few themes that actually matter and building a narrative leadership will act on), and Act (building concrete, tracked action plans with individual leaders through to the next survey cycle) (CultureC, 2026). The firm is platform-agnostic, working with whatever engagement tool a client already has, including Culture Amp, Qualtrics, Glint, or Lattice, rather than requiring a switch to a proprietary system. In one documented case study, the firm's year-long engagement with ProducePay is credited with improved leadership cohesion and stronger engagement and intent-to-stay scores following a period of misaligned leadership (CultureC, 2026).

Where it fits

CultureC is a fit for HR and people leaders who have already invested in an engagement survey platform but aren't seeing the return, either because participation is low, the resulting data doesn't translate into a clear story for leadership, or action plans from past survey cycles never actually got implemented. It's particularly suited to organizations with a small internal HR team that needs outside capacity to run the full listening cycle, not just the survey itself.

Why this matters for people leaders

The gap between running an engagement survey and actually changing anything because of it is one of the most common failure points in workplace culture work: leaders commit to action in the readout meeting, then the day job takes over and nothing changes. CultureC's framing, that most "culture problems" are actually listening problems, points directly at that gap. For organizations focused on Culture, Performance, and Retention, the value here isn't the survey data itself but the follow-through infrastructure around it: the accountability and coaching that turns a spreadsheet of scores into leaders who actually change how they operate.
